Ordinary Day?

Intrinsic beauty exists in all facets of God’s work. Just as I need to remember not to overlook the beauty He has surrounded me with; I should not overlook the opportunities of every moment. God has never overlooked the details of my life, not as my Creator, nor as my Savior. The smallest elements of creation are not void of beauty. It’s so easy to dream big and focus on those dreams, but results don’t come without embracing what has been entrusted to me today. It’s important to understand the importance of being faithful with little. (Matthew 25:14-30; Luke 19:11-27).

Personal Reminders:
Refresh your perspective.

See the work of God's hands all around.

See the opportunities that await and surround you.

See God work through you by embracing each moment.

God has never overlooked the details of my life, not as my Creator and not as my Savior. I It is not for me to neglect today's moments either.

Geese in the Sky

I'm sure everyone has seen the events of today with the flight that went down in the Hudson River. One of my favorite shots is of all the passengers spread across the wings in the water. You really can't see the wings, so it looks like they all are standing in the middle of the water. The pilot did an amazing job bringing the plane down safely and the attendants handled their responsibilities exceptionally as they helped passengers to safety. All involved in the rescue efforts did remarkable work. It's good to hear that other than a few smaller injuries all who were onboard left the incident safe.

Meeting Baby Jason

I had the opportunity to meet little Jason this weekend. He’s absolutely adorable and he has the cutest little smile. It’s crazy how fast time has gone by. It doesn’t seem like long ago that I was meeting my roomie, Laura, my freshman year, but the time has been filled with many memories. Life has brought so much since then and I’m glad we’ve been able to experience so much of it together. I love both her and Dan. I am so happy for them.

Congrats to you both! Jason’s a little cutie and a blessing! Thanks for being such great friends! You are going to be great parents.
